iRecord Covert Web interface gets stuck during loading/initializing flash.

This can happen on slow internet connections, when partial download is done. Clear the cache of your web browser (for Internet Explorer, Firefox), restart the browser and try again.
.
"Media Manager" and "Configuration" are disabled, why?

When you are logged in as a user account (not administrator), these options are disabled.
.
I am getting the following message after logging in: "Web Access Disabled:"

This message is displayed when menu is being accessed at iRecord Covert device or when a number of failed login attempts are made from web browser. In the first case, either exit from the menu or after 15mins idle time, web access will get enabled.

In the later case, since your IP address is blocked, to clear your IP:
  1. On iRecord Covert device go to Menu -> System Settings -> Erase -> Selected Block list Items, select your blocked IP and remove it
  2. From a different IP address, using web interface with Administrator account, go to Configuration -> Web Server -> Block List, select your blocked IP and remove it
What is the difference between circular and linear storage mode under Recorder Settings?

Linear Storage Mode: Recording stops when storage runs out. However, if another USB storage device is connected to the second USB host port of iRecord Covert, it automatically switches to second storage device and recording continues. The user can detach the full USB storage device, from the first USB host port and can plug-in another one.

Circular mode: In circular mode, the oldest recordings get overwritten and hence recording continues on the same storage device.
.
Can I use more than one analog camera to iRecord Covert?

iRecord Covert has two analog video inputs (CVBS and S-video) available. Monitoring and recording of only one analog camera at a time is possible. However, using a video encoder box (for example AXIS Q7404 Video Encoder), multiple analog cameras can be monitored and recorded at one time.
.
How many IP cameras can simultaneously be monitored and recorded?

Up to four IP cameras can be monitored and recorded simultaneously.
.
IP camera’s all presets are not available in live streaming.

If presets are updated or newly added, they will not appear in the presets drop box. To update presets go to Configuration -> Camera, and click "Update Info".
.
PTZ during live streaming is not working.

For IP Camera, click onto "Configuration -> Camera -> Update Info", this will update the PTZ information. In case of analog camera, please check the serial cable between the camera and iRecord Covert, and under Configuration -> Camera Settings, "PTZ Protocol" should not be "None". Make changes according to your analog camera.
.
iRecord Covert giving authentication failure even with correct username and password of IP Camera?

Update the iRecord Covert firmware to the latest version. If your firmware is 7.6.3.A or below, use basic authentication method on IP Camera’s native settings.
.
"Quad" option is not visible under source?

After using the USB drive on my computer, when I attached it with iRecord Covert, it’s giving me errors?

If you have used the USB on computer/laptop make sure that Fail-Safe option (Configuration -> Recorder -> Fail-Safe) is enabled before USB is attached to iRecord Covert.
.
I have MJPEG settings to QVGA and H.264 settings to VGA, but the camera output video I am getting is of low quality for H.264, why?

This is camera dependent, some vendors do not allow separate video options for MJPEG and H.264, therefore make MJPEG and H.264 resolution the same.
.
Time/Date Synchronization failing at web interface.

This can happen when you already have recorded files in future time, delete such video files and synchronize the time/date. To avoid such situations always synchronize date/time first before you start any recordings
.
Recorded files were in H.264, but when I download and play these files on computer, it gives green blocks at the start of the video.

Intra frequency ideally should be 15 to avoid such green blocks at the start of the video file. Intra frequency is addressed in cameras with different names as:
Camera/Model Labels
Axis (5014) “GOV” at 15
Canon H41 “1 Frame Interval” at 0.5
Panasonic (WV-385) “Refresh Interval” at 0.5
.
.

On iRecord Covert’s web interface, go to Configuration -> Maintenance -> Click “Event/System Log” and Save the files.
